Who We Are
Every family hopes to find a place where their child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn each day. You want to know that the people caring for your little one truly understand them, celebrate their personality, and help them grow with confidence. These are the conversations we have with families every day, and they are the reason Kiddie Country Learning Center has been a trusted part of the Burke, Virginia, community for generations. We believe early childhood should be about so much more than simply preparing for the next stage of school. It should be a time filled with discovery, meaningful relationships, creative exploration, and opportunities to build confidence from the inside out. When your child feels encouraged, understood, and capable, remarkable things happen. They develop a love of learning, build meaningful friendships, and gain the confidence to embrace new challenges. This is the foundation we work to create every day, helping your little one grow into a curious, capable, and confident learner while reassuring your family that they are exactly where they belong.

This is an amazing preschool and our three year old has thrived here!! The entire staff is amazing and you can tell they truly care about the kids. Lots of outside time combined with play based learning that is engaging for our toddler. So happy we found this school.

The layout of the building (open space, no closed doors, natural light), the large playground, the two, 45 minute recesses they get, the extra specials (music class, etc), the low turnover and teacher to student ratio, and more!
Our Story
Kiddie Country Developmental Learning Center was built on a simple but powerful belief that when your child feels secure, supported, and encouraged, they gain the confidence to explore, question, create, and grow. The early years are filled with moments of discovery, and we believe those moments flourish in an environment where your little one feels free to take risks, make mistakes, and learn at their own pace.
That philosophy can be seen throughout our Old Keene Mill Road, Burke, VA Campus. Rather than adapting an existing space, our school was intentionally designed around the needs of young learners. Open-concept classrooms encourage connection and collaboration, while shaded playgrounds, classroom patios, and heated outdoor swimming pools create opportunities for exploration that extend far beyond the classroom walls. Here, learning is not confined to a desk or a schedule. It happens through movement, play, curiosity, and hands-on experiences every day.
Today, as part of the Endeavor Schools family, we continue to build on that same vision. Our goal is not simply to prepare your child for the next classroom. It is to help your little one develop confidence, resilience, independence, and a genuine love of learning that will serve them for years to come.

What Makes Kiddie Country Learning Center Different?
The first thing many families notice about Kiddie Country Learning Center is our unique Campus. Designed specifically for young learners, our school features open-concept classrooms, classroom patios, shaded outdoor play spaces, and heated swimming pools that create opportunities for exploration, movement, and hands-on learning throughout the day.
What families remember most, however, is how deeply we get to know each child. We believe your little one deserves more than supervision. They deserve teachers who understand their interests, celebrate their strengths, and recognize when they need extra encouragement. During the first weeks of school, our team intentionally focuses on building meaningful relationships so every child feels seen, valued, and confident.
School Leader Tifany Stillwell shares, “To be a good leader, one needs to see the potential in others and help them become the best they can be.” That belief shapes the way we support every child, helping them develop confidence, independence, curiosity, and resilience that extend far beyond the classroom.
Families also appreciate that we combine this nurturing approach with a strong commitment to safety and support. We provide secure Campus access and CPR-certified staff, and we partner with families through milestones like potty training. We are committed to meeting your child where they are and helping them thrive every step of the way.
Early Childhood Leadership & Staff
Our lead educators hold Child Development Associate credentials or degrees in related fields, bringing both knowledge and experience into the classroom. Every new team member completes our comprehensive Start Strong Program, which includes Conscious Discipline training, health and safety education, CPR and First Aid certification, and specialized preparation in project-based and play-based learning. Learning does not stop once training is complete. Our staff participates in more than 25 hours of professional development each year, allowing them to strengthen their skills, stay current with best practices in early childhood education, and better support the unique needs of the children and families they serve. The result is a team of caring professionals who are committed to helping your child feel confident, supported, and excited to learn every day.

Tifany Stillwell has spent more than 25 years in early childhood education, and her love for it has not dimmed one bit. She came to this work because she has always loved learning herself, and she has built a school around her belief that when children become genuinely curious, they become lifelong learners.
Achievements & Accreditations
Kiddie Country Learning Center is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia, accredited by the National Accreditation Commission, and participates in the Unified Virginia Quality Birth to Five System (VQB5). These are not incidental credentials. They reflect a consistent commitment to maintaining high standards in everything from classroom ratios to staff training to the learning environment itself.
“When children are an active part of their learning journey, rather than seen as empty vessels needing to be filled with information, they feel valued and leave knowing they are important.”
– Tifany Stillwell, School Leader, Kiddie Country Learning Center
